I try to play your movies, the movie player stops playing after 1
or 2 seconds or the player freezes.? |
|

This is neither a problem with your movie player nor with our website.
Your movie player is trying to play the movie file you selected
over your live Internet connection and this can be VERY slow, depending
on your connection speed. This problem can best be corrected by
either:
- Windows Media Player
- If you are using Microsoft's
free Windows Media Player, login to the members-only
movies section of this site and click on the movie file
you want to watch. To download Microsoft's
free Windows Media Player, click here.
- You may be asked to login with your usercode and passcode
again. Do so.
- You will see an image appear in the movie player as the
player starts trying to download and play the movie. At this
point, the movie player will either play very slow or appear
to freeze up on you.
- Next, click the Play/Pause button on your movie player
to pause the current movie. The movie will be paused but
the movie player will continue to download the movie.
- You will see the white Download Indicator (see image
below) slowly lengthen as the movie downloads to your computer.
The download is complete once the white Download Indicator
reaches its terminus.
- Once the download is complete, click the movie player's
Stop button.
- Now click the movie player's Play/Pause button again
to play the movie. The movie will now play from the beginning
without pausing, skipping or freezing! Yahoo!
- Real.com Real Player
- If are having problems playing movies with Microsoft's
Windows Media Player or any other movie player, you should
download and install the latest version of Real.com's
free Real Player. To download the latest version of Real.com's
free Real Player, click here.
- Open the Real Player.
- From the Tools menu, choose Preferences:
- Under Category, click the Content > Media Types
option:
- Under Select the media types you want to play using RealOne
Player, turn on MPEG Video and AVI Video
by placing checks in the corresponding checkboxes.
- Next, again under Category, click the Connection
> Playback Settings option:
- Under Instant Playback, make sure that there is NO
check in the Enable Instant Playback instead of downloading,
whenever possible checkbox. In other words, you want this
option to be off so that Real Player will download
our movies to your computer.
- Click OK to accept the above changes.
- Go to the members-only
movies area of this site and click on a movie file link
to play a movie. The Real Player should open and download
the movie. Once the movie is downloaded to your computer,
Real Player will play the movie without pausing, skipping
or freezing! Yahoo!
